This sterling silver medal is dedicated to Castilla - La Mancha, an autonomous community made up of the provinces of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara and Toledo.
Castilla - La Mancha is heir to the old region of Castilla la Nueva, it emerged as such on November 15, 1978. It has a very extensive cultural and monumental heritage.
The obverse shows the regional shield that appears regulated in Law 1/1983, of June 30, and has its origin in the Flag designed by Ramón José Maldonado Cocat, officially approved in 1980.
The crowned M, CECA mark of the Royal Mint, is represented on the reverse.
