This sterling silver medal is a tribute to the Canary Islands, an archipelago located in the Atlantic Ocean, off the northwest coast of Africa and which groups seven islands: El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Tenerife, which form the province of Santa Cruz. from Tenerife; and Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, which make up the province of Las Palmas.
Its natural attractions, good climate and beaches make the islands an important tourist destination.
On the obverse the autonomous shield is shown, in which seven islands alluding to the archipelago itself appear arranged and under a royal crown, flanked by two dogs.
The crowned M, CECA mark of the Royal Mint, is represented on the reverse.
