The commemorative coin is dedicated to the International Year of Forests, that is, 2011, declared as such by the United Nations. Forests are a type of natural landscapes with the corresponding vegetation, fauna, microorganisms, depending on each other in their evolution. They are a component of the country's national natural resources, important for the coexistence of human beings.
