Coinciding
with the beginning of the presidency of the Council of the European Union by
part of Bulgaria, the country's Central Bank has put into circulation the
half a million bimetallic and circulatory type coins with face of
2 leagues, to commemorate this historic event that occurs for the first time since its entry into the European Union on January 1, 2007.
The
coin shows on its reverse the official logo of the presidency of the
Council of the European Union held by Bulgaria during the first
