(2 hryvnias), the indication of the year of issue of the coin 2013 (on the right) and the mark of the National Mint Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse : there is a portrait of Borys Hrinchenko to the left and right of which the years of his life 1863 and 1910 are indicated within the floral ornament; below is the inscription ????? ????????? (Borys Hrinchenko).
The commemorative coin is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Borys Dmytrovych HRINCHENKO, poet and prose writer, translator and literary critic, author of basic research works in ethnography, linguistics, study of literature and pedagogy, historical sketches, first textbooks of Ukrainian Language and Literature, compiler of the 4-volume Explanatory Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language, one of the organizers and leaders of the Prosvita Society.
