| The commemorative coin is dedicated to Pavlo Platonovych Chubynskyi, ethnographer, folklorist, poet and public figure, author of the Anthem of Ukraine "The glory of Ukraine has not perished, nor its freedom...". Pavlo Platonovych deservedly occupied an important position among the plethora of public figures and scientists of the second part of the 19th century, whose Herculean efforts made the national revival of Ukraine possible. As one of the founders of Ukrainian ethnographic science, he was in charge of ethnographic expeditions investigating Ukraine, Russia and Moldova.
