The coin
commemorative is dedicated to the famous figure of the national renaissance
and cultural of Ukraine of the end of the 16th century - beginning of the century
XVII - Elizabeth (Halshka) Vasilivna Hulevychivna, descendant of a
noble family of Volhynia and one of the founders of the Monastery of the
Epiphany of the Kiev Brotherhood and its school for children. With
To this end, he donated his country estate with land in the Podil district
of kyiv in 1615. This was the beginning of the Brotherhood School of
kyiv (later the Kyiv Mohyla Academy).
