2 euros LUXEMBOURG 2018 - 150 years of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg

2 euros Luxembourg 2018 in commemoration of the 150th birthday of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg .

The Bank of Luxembourg is preparing to make good money from collectors of commemorative 2 euro coins. The idea is not new, Malta has already been using it and it is as simple as including different mint marks for the same coin. It seems that Luxembourg is also joining the party and it may be that for the coin dedicated to the "150th Anniversary of the Luxembourg Constitution" we have up to three variants for the same coin, two already confirmed and a third pending to be known, this would correspond to the coin in Proof quality, which according to what is said will have some changes with respect to the previous two.

The lion shown as a mint mark on the coin corresponds to a new distinctive mark of Luxembourg, the bridge corresponds to the master or mint director of the Dutch KNM and the mark shown on the ring It is the mint mark or Utrecht Mint.

Let us remember that the circulation for this coin is 300,000 pieces, of which 7,500 are in coincard, with their corresponding mint marks. We do not know, at least I do, how many will come out in Proof quality, with the combination of mint marks that we still have to know. Consequently, the rest, those of bags and rolls, will be by far the most common mint marks on this currency.
