Celebration of the 60th anniversary of Asterix.
 This comic was created on October 29, 1959 by the writer René
 Goscinny and the cartoonist Albert Uderzo. Throughout the albums, the
 series presents the adventures of the inhabitants of the famous little town of
 Armorique formed by irreducible Gauls. After 36 adventures
 world famous, the main hero, the favorite French Gaul, already
 is celebrating his 60th birthday!
 
The obverse depicts Asterix in profile wearing his famous winged helmet. It is surrounded by laurels and Roman inscriptions referring to its 60 years. The year 2019 and the mention of RF (representing République Française) are also on the obverse.
 The reverse is the same as all common €2 coins, similar to all Eurozone countries.
