Obverse : above is the small coat of arms of Ukraine with the inscription ??????? / 10 ??????? 2016 (Ukraine / 10 hryvnias 2016); is the image conventional view of the kyiv hills, a small chapel, and first flat there are caves with a monk kneeling in a prayer position.

The coin is dedicated to one of the founders and hegumens of the Monastery from Kyiv Pechersk, Theodosius of the Caves (year of birth unknown: 1074). The Kyiv Pechersk Monastery flourished during his rule: It was full of people, had many churches and adopted the statute of the Studite monastic rules.
