Beautiful fifty in proof quality from the year 1999 dedicated to the Compostela jubilee year
Obverse , a detail of the group appears
of the prophets Moses, Isaiah, Daniel and Jeremiah, located in the
pillars of the central arch of the Portico of Glory, in the Cathedral
Compostela. Surrounding the set, from left to right, the legend
JUAN CARLOS I KING OF SPAIN, and at the bottom, between two scallops
stylized, the year of minting 1999; all of this is situated between two
pearl borders.
Reverse reproduces a
detail of the Holy Door or of the Pardons with the image of
Santiago, and to the right the Ceca mark; Surrounding both motifs is a
pearl border surrounded by the legend COMPOSTELA JUBILEE YEAR that
It is situated among the symbols of Xacobeo'99. At the bottom it appears
the face value 10000 PTAS, separated by the latent image, in the form of
venera, which alternates the figures of the last two digits of the year of
mintage 99, with the scallop itself. A second surrounds the entire set
pearl border Both borders are interrupted by symbols and
latent image.
