Description :
The coin is dedicated to the land combining the historical destinies of northern Bukovina and a part of Bessarabia located in southwestern Ukraine, in the foothills of the Carpathians by the Dniester and Prut rivers. This region is rich in recreational resources; There is an economic potential for the development of interregional and international cooperation. This picturesque part of Ukraine abounds with places suitable for multipurpose tourism, mass educational rest and recreation: there are a large number of protected areas, numerous historical and cultural monuments and mineral water springs.
Obverse : above is the Small Shield of Ukraine with the semicircular inscriptions: above - ???????????? ???? ??????? (National Bank of Ukraine), below - ?`??? ??????? (five hryvnias); on the right is the mark of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine; Above is depicted the Church of the Three Holy Hierarchs, the Residence of the Bukovinian Metropolitans against the background of the Khotyn Fortress; In the foreground the composition is represented: on the hill, there are sheep and the musician playing the trembita; there are stylized elements beneath the composition: fragments of the musical notation of the song `Chervona Ruta` (Red Rue), Bucovinian ornamentation and a flower; To the right above the trembite is the year of issue - 2015.
Reverse : the coat of arms of the oblast is depicted, along the circumference of the coin are the legends: above - ????????????? ??????? (Chernivtsi Oblast), below - ????????? ? 1940 ???? (established 1940).
