The commemorative coin is dedicated to Sudak, one of the oldest cities in Ukraine. Known since the 3rd century AD, the city has been named Sogdia, Soldaia and Surozh, in Old Rus records. The city offers unique recreational opportunities and features picturesque landscapes, as well as architectural monuments, such as the remains of the Genoese fortress, which was built between the 14th and 15th centuries.
