| This coin commemorates Chernihiv Oblast, which is located in two geographical regions: Polesia and Forest Steppe. It has a diversified natural environment and a great variety of mineral resources. The region is also engaged in many economic activities and has great tourism and recreational potential. The oblast has a glorious, ancient history, which has been preserved in numerous monuments and shrines.
