This coin celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Piddubnyi, a renowned athlete who won six World Cups in Greco-Roman wrestling. The "champion of champions" or "king of champions", as he was called by the European media of his time, gained worldwide fame for his Herculean strength, courage, agility and willpower. During the 40 years of his career, Piddubnyi did not lose a single championship, losing only a few individual wrestling matches. Piddubnyi, who was of Cossack origin, rose to fame as a legendary athlete, while his name became a symbol of the indomitable spirit of his people. To this day, people of great physical strength are compared to Piddubnyi.

(Ukrainian strongman) (semicircular, about the globe) and ??????? ????????? (champion of champions) (semicircular, below the globe); Below, on a plain background, is the coin's face value 2/?????? (2 hryvnias); on either side of the central composition are stylized fight scenes; Below, on the right, is the mintmark of the NBU banknote printing and minting works.
Reverse : on a plain background there is an image of Piddubnyi, to the right of which are the years of his birth and death - 1871/1949 and the legend ???? ????????? (Ivan Piddubnyi) (semicircular, right).
