This coin celebrates the famous Ukrainian actor and Hero of Ukraine, Bohdan Stupka. Bohdan Stupka was able to portray any image or character: he played more than 150 films and theater roles. He made his film debut in Yurii Illienko's film "The White Bird Marked in Black" (1971) as Orest Dzvonar. Stupka
He portrayed many historical figures, including hetmans Ivan
Briukhovetsky, Ivan Mazepa and Bohdan Khmelnytsky, as well as Genghis
Khan, Boris Godunov, Ostap Vyshnia and many others. In
1993, Stupka was awarded the Shevchenko National Prize (the most
highest Ukrainian state prize for works of culture and art) for his role
principal in the work `Tevye-Tevel` (based on the work of Grigori Gorin`
The Memorial Prayer, ` is loosely based on a work by Sholem Aleichem).
