Description: This coin celebrates Ukraine's air defenses. Today, Ukraine's air defenses play an extremely important role in ensuring the security of Ukraine's military and civilian facilities, while being an essential component of the country's national security system. Every day since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the air defense forces – comprising the anti-aircraft missile troops of the Air Force, Ground Forces and Navy of Ukraine; aviation capabilities and airspace surveillance units of the Ukrainian Air Force; and other air defense units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, have faithfully and heroically repelled enemy missile and drone attacks. Obverse: above is the small coat of arms of Ukraine; in the center, surrounded by an old Russian ornament, is the following semicircular legend: УКРАЇНА/10/ГРИВЕНЬ (Ukraine/10/hryvnias); At the bottom of the ornament is the year of issue of the coins: 2023 (below) and the mint mark of the BNU Banknote Printing and Minting Factory (on the right).
Reverse: There is an image of a Patriot launcher and a stylized image of a radar detecting a target; above is the following circular legend: ППО – НАДІЙНИЙ ЩИТ УКРАЇНИ (Air Defenses – Reliable Shield of Ukraine).
