On the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Monnaie de Paris pays tribute to these renowned international competitions through a collection that highlights sport, its values, the athletes but also the heritage of the host country. Olympism and Paralympism are celebrated.

In 2022, blind football is represented on coins. This Paralympic discipline is the adaptation of football for people with visual disabilities. Players compete in teams of five (four visually impaired players and one goalkeeper). The players wear the classic soccer kit and, depending on the category, a headband. The balloon differs: it is spherical in shape and has a sound system.
The reverse common to the series presents a view of Paris where the Seine takes on the appearance of an athletics track. The Eiffel Tower dominates the city and illuminates the competition.
