The most beautiful avenue in the world.
Connecting the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe, the Avenue des Champs-Elysées stretches for almost 2 km in the heart of Paris. In the 17th century, Le Nôtre, gardener to Louis XIV, laid the first stones in this swampy place. It then became part of the emergence of what has been called "the most beautiful avenue in the world."
Avenue des Champs-Elysées is full of culture and activities. You can also admire the monuments, go shopping or vibrate during the events. Every year, the avenue notably hosts the July 14 parade, the arrival of the Tour de France and the Christmas lights.
The Champs-Élysées are equally lively during the day and at night. Restaurants, shops, monuments and even nightclubs are gems to discover and that make this avenue a myth. To end the visit in style, the climb to the Arc de Triomphe offers a spectacular panoramic view of Paris.
The face represents a view from the Champs Elysées towards the Arc de Triomphe. To highlight Paris, the City of Light, the most beautiful avenue in the world was represented at night, when its trees are decorated with Christmas lights. The flame of the unknown soldier, which turns 100 in 2020, shines at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe. The Concorde obelisk is seen in the foreground and reflects the angle of the shot.
To enhance this collection, the coins are adorned with a selective deposit of gold highlighting the illuminations.
Reverso is the reverse common to the Trésors de Paris series. It offers a modern view of the map of Paris and its districts represented by small pyramids. On the map of Paris, the name of the series is inserted. Next, we find the face value and the vintage.
