10 euros SPAIN 2021 - Goya "Semi-Sunken Dog"
On the occasion of the 275th Anniversary of the birth of Francisco de Goya, the FNMT – RCM issues a series of collector coins intended to commemorate this event.
On the obverse of this coin the work titled "Semi-Sunken Dog" is reproduced in color, made by Francisco de Goya y Lucientes between 1820 and 1823, which is preserved in the Museo Nacional del Prado, in Madrid. Surrounding the motifs and legends is an allegorical graphic depicting the Goyesque strawberry tree (hairnet with strawberry trees, to lightly tie up the hair).
On the reverse (common to all three pieces), the statue of Goya is reproduced, made by Mariano Benlliure Gil in 1902 and located in front of the Goya Gate of the National Prado Museum, in Madrid. An allegorical graphic of the Goyesque strawberry tree surrounds the motifs and legends.
