In 2023, artistic gymnastics is represented in the 2023 Mentas. The International Federation of Artistic Gymnastics is the oldest international sports organization in the world: it was created in 1881. Gymnastics is a very old sport, which has roots dating back to the antiquity. At that time, philosophers recommended combining the development of the body with that of the mind.
In artistic gymnastics events, men compete on floor, pommel horse, vault, parallel bars and high bar. Women compete on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor.
